What would You do

I would agree , on your 35 Whelen sizing with .001 space between bolt face & the back of the case to stop any foward movement. With a long chamber, you could have protruding or blown primers . Sizing with minimum headspace you still have to use Federal primers ? Is the 35 a single shot, lever or bolt action ?

When you say crush, are we talking jamming your bullet ?

Poor choice of words, loading with zero headspace might make more sense. Distance off the lands is also another thing you can play with as well.

I also size to minimum of headspace. Read an article about snug chambering ( zero ) headspace could cause galling on the bolt locking lugs. My perfect space is .001 l feel a slight resistance at the lowest close of the bolt. Make sure you put a little grease on the back side of the bolt locking lugs. When installing the bolt hold the trigger back so the grease can enter the locking channel. I always get corrected when I write headspace, they say only the chamber has headspace, case does not have headspace. But you know what I mean. Hope I helped Chris

Just received the Forster Go gage. Dropped it in my RCBS Precison Mic. the Go gage is 1.630 which I would think is the zero mark on the mic, but it's .004 less then zero, on my Lyman headspace gage it was dead on. I now will check the Go gage in my rifles chamber.
