What will happen to your "toys:?

This post made me think. As of this writing, I have no children to leave my guns to when I pass on. Of course my wife will keep hers, but mine will be willed to a pro-gun group like Brass Roots, a local gun club or local chapter of the GOA or NRA to be auctioned or raffled to help fund their efforts. This way the guns will a) go to someone who will appreciate them, 2) generate funds that will help a group that understands the value of the Constitution and 3) keep the guns away from the state that would probably sell them as scrap metal.

just some random thoughts.

Shin-tao - What a beautiful and concise post! Thank you!

Dennis - Don't put a note in your gun safe about who gets what except as a back-up. It's not legally binding in most places, and whoever gets the residue of your estate will control who gets the guns.

Spell it out in your will and trust. You may have to pay a lawyer a few dollars, but isn't getting some assurance worth it?
