What will 314 dollars buy you at a gun show.

Wow DRM, now THATS ^^ a score. BUT in 1970 I remember my Dad telling me his Paychecks from the Army as a young GI were like a hundred bucks.

But deerslayer303, when are you going to get some class, and buy a Hi-Point?

Shoot Cheap, you KNOWZ I GOTS MEEZ A HI POINT!! :D

I'm in San Antonio and have had multiple handguns on the same form several times, but never gotten a phone call. They weren't Saturday Night Specials or 4x Glock 19s, though, which is probably a bit more suspicious than the stuff I pick up...

(Knock on wood.)

I haven't been contacted either, but I think our types of multiple purchases are particularly unlikely to arouse much concern (also knocking on wood). My receiving FFL says that the Austin office has been particularly active recently in checking on folks with multiple purchases of more standard semi-autos (and, of course, SNS-type guns).

Strange. I received 4 handguns at one time (inherited) and no one called. They came in from out of state, so the handguns had to go threw a FFL on my end. Do they somehow know about inherited lots and don’t question it?

3 x 9mms for $328

1970. E-4 with combat pay, foreign duty, and a couple other things I can't
remember, pay was $740 month. If I recall we got $81 as a boot.

To DRM: hell I got $440 for being a brown bar Lt with Jump qual thrown in, in '68, IIRC.

And to the OP: ? $314...I'd say that'll get you parking for 31.4 cars here at the semi-annual Louisville gun shows and not much else but frustration. Beyond that, I'd say a lot of self recrimination of the, "why in hell did I buy that?" type. Unless you are phenomenally lucky, you'll not find many hand guns that are worth your time at that price. JMHO, Rod

Rodfac, indeed you are correct, I even told the seller "I'll take the JA380, I don't know why but I'll take it" I think I said that with all my cheapie guns when I bought em. For the most part I like em all, and have fun playing with them at the range. It's just a fun hobby. My Model 36 Chiefs Special goes on my hip for Concealed Carry. The woods and fishing gun is a C9 and sometimes the 1858 Remington New Model Army Sheriff.

Disagree. You can find a decent number of guns generally recognized as reliable and well-made at that price without anything resembling phenomenal luck. For example:

lightly used Ruger P89/P90/P94/P95
S&W SD9/SD40
used Stoeger Cougar
Ruger LCP
Makarov (Bulgarian or Russian)

I'm sure other people could extend this list quite a bit.

For $314 bucks you could score a polish p64, or a TT33 tokarev variant ( I have a romanian), or a cz52 or cz82. These are all military surplus guns and all usually reliable, accurate, and semi-powerful. The cz52 I had never jammed through about 600rds of surplus 7.62x25. I also like cheap guns, but they are cheap because they were mass produced and used by some countries military. Cheaply made guns I have no interest in. Kind of like how I would never own a kia or Hyundai. I would rather walk. If the government broke down and so did civilization I would pick a decent bow (recurve or compound) before I picked a Jennings or the like handgun
