what state has the worst gun laws

New Jersey is pretty bad - permission required for simple possession in the home. Also Illinois - don't let your paperwork expire or you suddenly become a criminal.

California is definitely not the worst state - there is no expiring permit to possess as there is in some states, and some counties operate as "shall issue" for concealed carry licenses.

Cali aint the worse, we just cant have "assault weapons", full cap. mags and certain guns not in the damned list.

Otherwise we don't need no stinkin permits just to keep 'em at home or we don't have to keep 'em at the range for storage. We don't have to send an empty case to the state to self-incriminate ourselves before the fact. If we had the mags prior to the ban we can keep 'em, we're even allowed to shoot 'em!

Think of it as having a stuborn mom! You can have pretty much any toy exept the ones you really want. Some moms don't let you have any toys! Some do but you can't play with them or thy have to stay at grammas, can't bring 'em home. ;)

I'll vote for MASS.

That's a link to the ONLY HANDGUNS WE'RE ALLOWED TO BUY THRU A DEALER. That includes any time you transfer thru a dealer, so we can't buy out of state.

Note that there's fewer guns on the list than it looks like because they list caliber variations sererately for each model.

It's a bunch of Rugers, Smiths, Glocks, specially made Sigs, Paras and a few assorted others. Good luck trying to find Kimbers, HKs, Maks or any other number of popular handguns. They can only be had thru private in state transactions that don't require a ffl.

Let's not even talk about getting a license to carry in this state.

The work has already been done by the Brady Campaign. All one need do is invert the ratings.

Just go here and download the pdf or check specific states with the search function.

Six states got an "A", picking between them is tough.

Burn a little bandwidth. Be a pity to let all that work go to waste.

We got a D-. With a little extra effort, we can get that to an "F" next year. Go Texas!

..whatever it is..it is one of the states bordered by a neighboring state on one side and salt water on the other...

If you're in a Shall Issue state, there's no way you can be worse off than a Show Cause or May Issue state like MD. Sorry Mike. At least you can actually get a permit in OH, we're basically screwed here in MD.

Which ones? If I have to stay in this state, I would like to know the good places to live.

Doesn't New York City require you to have seperate permits to carry in your car, on the street, in your home, in your buisness, in someone else's buisness, and for matching permits for each different county?
