What Shotgun is this G4S Security Officer in Bosnia Holding? - Photo

Keep in mind that even true Mossberg shotguns are not drop safe, and then add this one's questionable heritage and mode of carry..........G4S must not like it's employees very much.....

Show some respect to your betters! That's Gecko45 in his new security posting.

Not a shotgun either, but a helical fed 5.7mm submachinegun made to look like an old mossberg as to not alert the shoppers in the mall of Uzbekistan.;)

He's a master of disguise isn't he!

I agree with Balazona, the SG is indeed a cheap clone of mossberg made in Darra AdamKhel or Peshawar, available here for 1800-2200 PKR. (1USD=82 PKR i.e. 26.82$).

He & the other private security guards put their life on the line for a mere salary of 70-75$ per month and will be very very lucky if they are able to fire atmost 1 shot from this tool if the need arise :( Moreover, they are most likely to have #4 birdshot shells in them.

He is most likely to be guarding some private or "not so a high profile" dwelling. The bank guards that I have seen here are generally a just little better equipped than him. Atleast they have some Turkish or well made Pakistani weapon with 00 buckshot in them.

Holeeeeee crap. That's cheap. As much as I'd like to have a $26 shotgun, I shudder to wonder where they cut corners.

You'd think with the money they saved on his gun, they could have gotten the poor guy a uniform that fits right.

It was a G4S subsidiary that recently made big headlines by losing the US government security contract for our embassy in Afghanistan after they were exposed committing indecent and disgraceful conduct while on the job. The company that was in charge of that operation was ArmorGroup. They, in turn, are a subsidiary of Wackenhut, which is the G4S subsidiary that operates in the USA.

If you go to the Wackenhut company info page:

http://www.g4s.com/usw/usw-about_wackenhut.htm

You will see that this is how they describe their employees:

"Wackenhut has earned an excellent reputation over the years because of the integrity and professionalism of its people; an unyielding commitment to customer service; the high quality of its corporate, regional and local operations; and, its concern for the welfare of its employees. Clearly, much of Wackenhut’s success is attributable to the quality of its employees."

And here is a photo of their employees on the job at the Afghanistan embassy:

One of Wackenhut's key responsibilities with the Federal Government is safeguarding America's Nuclear facilities from terrorist attack.

I'm not surprised that someone has made a clone of the Mossberg. It's a fine design and quite reliable. Gotta be easier to make than those homegrown AKs.

As for G4, they're my employer, through a subsidiary. G4 is based in Denmark. They have more folks toting guns than France, Italy, etc.

And they're chintsy when it comes to arms, but they do buy decent ones.

Ammo's another matter. Duty 38 ammo is FMJ 148 gr standard velocity roundnose. Litigation bait and way back from the leading edge.

Pity that some folks can't recognize a full blown pressure blowoff party when they see one. Seriously doubt those guys were "on the job".

Reminds me of a scene from the old "South Pacific" musical. "Nothing like a dame."
