What rifle would you bet your life on?

Weapon I am most familiar with the good old bolt action.

I carry an AR-15 as a patrol rifle, so I guess I already trust my life to it. (Thankfully haven't had to use it though!) I've done enough training and schools with this weapon to give it the nod of those listed, but there are deffinately others I wouldn't mind carrying in other situations.

FN-FAL, M1A, Mauser 98 (My huntin' gun) to name a few.

I chose the M1A because the Garand wasn't listed, but that's what I'd really choose.

16.1" barreled FAL (same length as a AR but hits harder at longer distances)

or

16.1" M4gery (shorter, lighter, handier than above)

or

AKM (semi)

Of these three, which ever I grabbed first out of the safe.

Because of the limited number of choices, I chose a bolt action rifle. Other than that, I would rather have my Ruger Mini 14. It is what I am familliar with and what I will function best with in the field.
