Wolff has a spring for the Colt Deltas that is single spring of 23lb and it uses the standard guide rod and plug. I would think that would be a starting point for any 5 inch 1911 in 10mm.
That's the spring weight and set-up I ran in mine. Colt's old double recoil spring system was supposed to effect 24lbs, if I recall correctly.
But basically it'll depend on how the user of a DE, or any 10mm 1911, goes about setting up a cumulative recoil-taming system.
By "cumulative," I mean if, for example, the user had his 'smith properly fit and install an oversized EGW f.p. stop, and then also installed something like a 25lb mainspring, he might go with a single Wolff 20lb XP recoil spring (and its companion XP f.p. sprg).
I've even read of some Delta users running the above set-up w/ an 18lb Wolff sprg. Some also use shok-buffs; others don't.
... and that's with or without a FLGR.
Opinions seem to vary on the benefits and utility of running FLGRs.
