I've made the peculiar observation over the years here in TFL the Unique is often mentioned in the same sentence with a faster powder (usually Bullseye or W231). The wording often implies interchangeability (not necessarily with the examples above). Unique is not a fast powder like Bullseye or W231. It clearly falls in the medium speed range.
Makes me wonder if this lends itself to Unique's reputation for burning poorly.
I never used unique. But have used a lot of Bullseye and 800x for .357 mag loads in 158 grain range. The loads were not full power but were stout and very accurate.
