My Competition gun for about 13 years was a stock Kimber Custom Classic that was polished up by a machinest freind who also competed. the only other alteration is that I had adjustable sights and an ambi safety installed,(I am a Southpaw). I have at least 20,000 rounds through it and she runs like a Mercades. When I was competing, B.J Norris was about 13yrs old and using a stock Glock, even at that age he was cleaning up matches against the regular guys like me. You can go to Brazos Gun Works' sight and see what a real high dollar race gun looks like, but a lot of the 'A' Calss shooters and Masters had guns that looked like they had been dragged down three miles of bad road, but they ran right. My obsevation was that the more some people paid for thier race guns the more problems they had, JMHO.
