I have no experience with the Taurus autos, and am happy with the Taurus wheelguns which I have owned or do own, but I hesitate here.

I was hearing something about them, lately. What was it.... Oh, yeah. Massive recall.

The recall doesn't apply to the G2 Models.

Yep. I'm not sure why this has come up like it's new information. That issue with the first generation PT111 has been known for awhile, I think they probably just finished the settlement process. They addressed the problem before releasing the G2s and the G2s have a very good track record so far. Now, if we want to question whether one would trust the company, that's understandable.

But, if a recall is an issue to completely avoid a company, everyone should avoid Remington like the plague (R51).

CZ P-01

Considering you already Have a polymer framed striker fired gun with a Glock - like trigger , and other statements in the OP my sugestión is a CZ P-01. It a full metal gun not too heavy, built to NATO specs with lots of aftermarker parts and accesories. And you can use most of CZ and clones mags!

Good luck

The PPQ and VP9 are more like Glock17s in size. Its hard to beat the G19 in size. I personally don't care for the gun, though. The Beretta PX4 Compact is the same height as the G19, but has a shorter barrel.

[Have you checked out the new Hk p30sk?/QUOTE]

I handled one of these this week at a LGS right up the road in Clayton, NC. I was impressed and it's a good buy for the price I saw on the tag!
