Big mauser fan. None in original military condition. Most would think I'm crazy but that's kinda how I like em.

German 98 in 257rbts.

Yugo (I believe) in 8×57

Smith corona 03A3 in 308 Norma magnum.

My collection of milsurp is a bit shy yet.

Too many to list in polite company. I tried to focus on a country, model or year, but it never worked out. After twelve years I stopped renewing my C&R. My wallet has continued to thank me.

If you want to be reasonable, I'm not, focus on a specific era or model or country.

How do you keep track of the ammo

not that hard really.

45ACP, 45-70, 30-40, 30-06, 30 carbine, 30 mauser, 9mm luger, 8x57mm, 7.7 japanese, 6.5 japanese, 303 brit, 7.5 swiss, and 7.62x54R. not that hard really.

here my milsurps are
30-06, 303 brit, 8x56R, 7.62x54R, 7.7 japanese, 6.5 japanese, 6.5 swedish mauser, and I used to have 7.5 french, and 7.62x25 tokarev as well. in addition to non milsurps that shoot 9mm, and 45ACP...

Mostly WWII bolt actions here with a few others:

2-Smith Corona1903a3's
1941 K98
M38 1914 Karl Gustav
M41 1942 Husqvarna
1939 Tula Mosin Nagant
Springfield M1 Garand
1941 Remington Rand .45 acp
1914 Erfurt Imperial Luger

I need to add a M1 carbine and a 1903 and I would feel pretty good.

Mostly older US, but I do have a few modern guns thrown in here and there.

Long arms from the Civil War to the 1980's, does not include handguns or duplicates:

I started collecting several years ago with no particular plane other that WW2 battle rifles and pistols.
I have a decent collection of K98’s and variants - sadly no German pistols as of yet, A number of Mosin Nagant and variants. A couple Russian TT33 and Yugos
Only lacking a M1 Garand to complete my USGI collection. I love Lee Enfield’s and will buy one of value any time I have the spare cash.
And looking for Japanese rifles and pistols as I have yet to acquire any good examples I can afford right now.
At some point need to get started on the Italian guns but that is at the bottom of the list
Very few are safe queens. I do have a few K98’s that rarely see the range.
I like guns that I can shoot but have collector value as well.
Just a great mix of WW2 guns that I enjoy to shoot and share with others.

How do you keep track of the ammo

I reload and cast, ALOT.

it is not too hard to keep track, many are .30 caliber so I can use 1 bullet for a number of rounds. I use either a FMJ or cast, 150gr FMJBT or 165 FMJ in .30
I cast a 230gr RN in .45 that I can use in the 1911 and 1873 SAA,
a 160gr RNGC and 200gr RNGC in .30 that I can use in the Krag, 30-06, 7.5 Swiss, 7.7 Jap, .308,

the P08 and P38 are 9mm so those are easy,
I cast a 90gr RN for the C96.

I cast 58 Minni ball for the 1863, 50 ball and 44 ball, and a 405gr .45 RN for the 45-70

When I set up to load anything, I load several hundred rounds at a time, and when you load 200 rounds of 45-70, you go thru a lot of lead.

For several years acquired Enfields (#4s, #5s), a Yugo Mauser, two Spanish FR8s, two Yugo M59 (pre 66) SKS, two M-1s, Romanian M-69 Trainers: maybe civilian, but fun .22s. Sold the MN 91/30 and 44s.

Recently handguns: Sauer 38H, WW2 Mauser Hsc, CZ-82, E. German Makarov, German PPK/S.
This Mak's DA trigger pull is a little heavier, but as smooth as the DA on my new Sig 232.

The '80 ("IA") German PPK/S might not count as a true surplus, but more so than a S&W PPK/S.

I mainly collect mosin nagants but I got a couple others. My favorites are my M/N 91 New England Westinghouse with SA stamps, S&W victory model in 38 special and Egyptian Hakim. I'm also partial to my mismatched Hungarian M44( first gun!!) and carcano M91 with marksmanship stamp. I got a total of 5 M/N 91-30s 2 M44s a M38 and the NEW M/N 91. I would love to add a Egyptian Rasheed and VZ. 52 rifle to my collection but I'll probably focus on carcanos and mosin nagants.

I never originally thought of collecting milsurplus guns. When I was younger I started out wanting a AR and all the gadgets on it. I did buy one, but when I got my first Mosin I was hooked. I don't have any plans other than if I see something for the right price I buy it. Mainly it's been WWII rifles though, I need a Jap rifle then I'll have a gun from all the major players. The ones I have the most of one kind are Garands, something about them just seems "right".

In 2006 I bought my first, a Savage built Lee Enfield No.4 Mk I. And there the collection sat until about 2 years ago when I started adding the following (in no particular order)

Lee Enfield Mk III
Lee Enfield Mk I (Sporterized)
Nagant M191/30
Nagant M44
Yugoslav Mauser M48
Carcano M1891/38 in 7.35mm
K31
MAS 49/56
FN SAFN (Egyptian order in 7.92mm Mauser)
Nagant 1895 Revolver
FN Hi-Power (early 70's Portugese assembly)
Walther P1 (great shooter)
Swedish Mauser m/1896
M1 Carbine (post-war Iver Johnson clone)

Trying out the instructor's M1 Garand in an NRA Basic Rifle class hooked me but I'm not a collector, just a wannabe CMP Games-type shooter. This is a working collection - they all get used and I reload for them all. Love the wood and steel.

-- SA M1 Garand started it;
-- HRA M1 Garand followed soon after;
-- Finnish M39 M/N because we lived in Finland for a couple of years;
-- Russian M91/30 M/N because...well, because it was cheap;
-- Smith-Corona 1903A3 because CMP released some last year and I didn't think I would ever have a chance at one at a reasonable price...until then;
-- Polish P64 (9mm Makarov) because I needed a pistol other than a .22;
-- Swiss K31 because I want to shoot all three Games matches; John C Garand, Springfield, and Vintage Military, and didn't want to use a Mosin.
