What keeps you from buying/owning more firearms?

So, what does keep you from owning more firearms? Is it purely a money thing, if you had more money would you buy more? Is it that you've set a mental limit on how many you want to own? (10,20,30... Etc?). Or maybe has your significant other "set a limit" for you? Or, are you just happy with what you own and don't feel the need for anymore? I'm sure there's a lot of other potential reasons too.

For me, the only reason I don't own more than I do now, is because of money. If I had a lot more money then without a doubt I would own MANY more than I do now. Also, every gun I own doesn't have to have a practical purpose necessarily either, it's more for the novelty and fun of having it.

I have 5 children.

My tools are taken care of (I have enough guns for my needs).

I have to get theirs taken care of..... right now, Daughter Jac and Son Shemp are squabbling over who gets the Ruger Frontier for Opening Day.

I don't have another $800 for another (and glass) just layin' around the house.....

Money is part of it but mostly my marriage. My wife doesn't mind me having guns and shooting within reason. However, she doesn't think I need, or ought to have, a closet full. Unfortunately she's right.

Two reasons - a less than generous paying job and the fact that I have nobody to leave them to. In fact I was looking at my gun list yesterday and found that I own about half of what I used to.

Two sided, I pretty much have enough guns for my needs as of now. Also money is part of it. I am newly married with a house payment and a newborn. Money isn't tight but I can't quite afford to just drop $500+ a month either. With that being said I just bought 2 guns, 1 for me and 1 for the misses, goal to try and compete with thinking uspsa/idpa but need to see what is available around us. Then work on carry guns next along with CCW

Money is the reason I don't have different but I don't know that I'd have very many more no matter the finances.

I just don't have any desire to have for the sake of having so my guns all serve a purpose.

If I had unlimited finances I might have a couple more, I'd love to have a DW CBOB 10mm, I'd build a custom rifle. Otherwise, it'd probably be more reloading stuff than anything else.

Money - OF COURSE.

But if I had a bit of land away from everybody with a HILL on it, and could shoot whenever and however I wanted to....well I might reallocate my resources and buy more guns and definitely more reloading stuff.

Although I occasionally wonder if this isn't like becoming an old person with 47 cats.

Indecision! Since I have what I need covered trying to decide what I want is tough. I like C&R guns and I have the money but I can't make up my mind so I spend it on reloading stuff. Then I get money and... Keep repeating.

The reason is mostly that I am too busy and/or not in the US long enough. I generally order a bunch to my FFL before a trip back or pick up one or two while I'm there but that isn't often enough.

I am also nearing the end of my "must have" list and meandering into "always wanted one" territory. Sometimes I will see something that srikes me as undervalued and order one.

I figure that when the safe fills up I'll tear out the racks and stack them as close as they will fit - I'm about at that point right now. I'm glad I got a big safe when I bought this one.

In no particular order:

-Money

-Space

-The pesky legal ramifications

-The pesky marital ramifications (;))

(Note: the consequences of #3 and #4 are remarkably similar)

Other priorities, safe space. Indecisiveness about what barrel to put on my final AR build. That's it. For the married guys that have issues, you chose poorly. My wife wouldn't mind a Henry Big Boy in the safe.
