What is your preferred carry method?

Most of the time I carry right side OWB appendix carry, untucked shirt with a G27 in a Glock holster of all things. I have about $300 of holsters in a box, and tried everythign else from 3 to 5 o'clock and finally found this combination is the most discrete, comfortable and handy.

The other holster I like is a straight up OWB kydex by Fiske I think it is. It has an Old Testament name like Guideon or something. Very minimalist and sturdy.

When I have to dress up more I carry a P3AT in the front pocket in a DeSantis holster and carry a G23 in the car.

Usually a Glock 19 IWB at 4:00 in a Comp-Tac Minotaur. I will, on occasion, carry a 642, or on an even more rare occasion, a 637. Either of these will be in a holster in my right front pocket. This is a nice option, as you can casually slip your hand in your pocket, and have your hand discretely on the gun.

I am fortunate in that I always dress pretty much the same, and only have to tuck in my shirt for the odd marryin' or buryin'. I am a kinda fat guy who likes roomy shirts to begin with, so it wasn't that much of a stretch to pack a little heat in the extra space. I have yet to carry in a suit. Maybe I should find Mike Hammer's tailor to make some "extra room for artillery" in the jacket. :p Then I can pack a "cold oiled" .45. Whatever that is. I digress. If it is cold enough for me to break out the Carhartt hooded jacket, I will sometimes carry the 642 in the inside breast pocket, in the same pocket holster. This is handy for in the car.

It depends on the weather and my mode of dress. If I can wear a jacket or feel like looking like a slob with an untucked shirt, then either a high-ride pancake OWB or IWB at 3:00 strong side, and usually carry a semi-auto.

If not able to wear a concealment garment, then it's strong side front pocket, S&W J-frame or a .380 auto, in a pocket holster. When I get into the car I usually remove the gun and holster from my pocket and put it in the driver's side door or tuck it in IWB cross-draw, since it's virtually impossible to get to a pocket gun when seatbelted in without a lot of squirming.

Regardless of weather, my carry choices are either a Rossi 462 carried cross-draw in a Don Hume OWB, or my XD40-Service in a Galco 3-slot COP OWB, and always with two reloads with either weapon. Although I have other means of carry, these are my main two.

I think I must be a little boring compared to the majority of the gang here; I always carry plain ol' OWB around 3 o'clock-ish, in one pancake-style holster or another (mmmmmm......pancakes). I dress around the rig, no matter the season.

I always pocket carry. The only exception is when I'm jogging- I use a Smart Carry.

When I can, I like to carry another sidearm IWB or OWB strong side, just behind the hip, under an untucked shirt.

I also "car carry" in the glove box and/or console.

I like lots of options. :D

All my carry guns get carried IWB strong side 3:30 ish, with the exception of my LCP which if carried is right front pocket. This is on the rare occations I cant pull of anything else. G27, G19, kimber UCII or my CZ P-O1.
I prefer leather Either Milt Sparks or UBG holsters. The Kimber gets carried the most.

Sig 1911 Nightmare, strong side IWB, even when I can't or don't wear a "Cover garment" I can and will fake it with an undershirt and one size up Tshirt. Helps avoid the whole photographer's vest thing. I have a Miami Classic shoulder rig, but rarely use it.

I conceal carry almost every day, all day. I carry one of several revolvers mostly. I carry at 3:30 - 4 O'Clock in a Pancake Holster. Normally a Lobo Enhanced Pancake. I carry either one or two reloads infront of the holster on the belt.

As was said above, I dress around my equipment. I have an assortment of loose around the waist, long tailed shirts. I have to hunt for them, but I know what I am looking for in a concealed carry shirt. Like was said above I skip the Shoot Me First Vests. Another thing one needs is a long, light weight jacket. Something that you can keep on in a warm indoor setting.

I carry everything from a 442 Pro to a 4" 610 N Frame.

In the Summer I normally carry 38/357's with a few shotshells for snakes in my pocket. The most carried would be my 442, 315 Night Guard and my 3" 66-2.
In the cold weather months I bring out the 310 Night Guard, and my 3" 625 the most. I also carry my 4" guns more in cold weather, depending on where I am going.

I have found that everything carrys for me just fine at 3:30 - 4 O'Clock in a Pancake Holster.

Warm months is 442 or 642 holstered, pocket carry strong side front pocket. Speed strip weak side rear pocket.

Jacket/coat weather ='s , Para Ord. C7.45 LDA in holstered, pocket carry.

For normal day to day carry. I carry wherever it is legal for me to do so. 98% of that time there is a P-64 in my pocket. 95% of the time that I am carrying I also have a striker fired semi auto IWB on my left hip at about 8 o'clock

Full Sized is an M&P 45 carried when weather, and clothing allow. Sub compacts that are there most of the time are a G26 9mm, or a Sig P250 9mm Sub compact. All have the same manual of arms. All are tested, and proven at the range frequently.

Most of the time I carry the sub compacts. Weather here is warm most of the year. Brutaly hot the rest of the time. A few rare days of freezing cold weather happen in between those two.

I am a lefty shooter so when driving my pocket gun goes into a special holster in my door pocket. The space between the door, and my hip are too narrow to draw from. It will not slide around if I have to suddenly stop, or in the unfortunate event of a collision. (Anything in a vehicle not secured in the passenger cabin is quite likely to become a projectile in the event of a traffic collision.

In my case, carry guns and positions will vary based on activities.

On the motorcycle trips we take there are riders I don't know very well. It's important to me to keep the pistol concealed.

At dawn in the desert it's pretty cold on the bike. Many riders wear leather vests over their jackets. After it starts warming up, when we stop to gas up or take a break people will remove their jackets and vests during the stop. Later in the day, the jackets get rolled up and packed and riders just wear vests. If we're riding past sundown, the reverse often occurs - it starts getting cool after the heat of the day and people pull the jackets back out.

Given how often layers are changed or removed altogether, any pistol at your waistline - whether in a IWB or OWB rig - is going to be obvious.

The only way to always have a gun handy - that is also always concealed - is to carry a gun that fits into the strong side outer pocket of your leather jacket, and that also fits into the inner pocket inside your vest. With a little practice you can get pretty smooth at switching the gun from your jacket pocket to your vest pocket, when the time comes to lose the jacket.

In situations like that being somewhat flexible in how you carry allows you to meet the challenges of that particular environment.
