What is your favourite 'autoloader' for:

1) Personal Defense? HK USP 40

2) Concealed Carry? HK USP 40

3) Competition? HK USP 40

4) Target? Springfield GI 1911A1

5) Plinking? Beretta 92FS

This presumes we are only talking about centerfires. For 4 and 5 I have a Ruger MkII that I will include if rimfires are part of the game. I also have an NAA Guardian .32 that would fill in category #6 Deep concealment/back-up
 
Defence:tie between Browning HP and the Makarov
Target: Makarov, simply because I can shoot it better than the HP
Carry: four way tie between Browning HP, Makarov, PA-63 and Walther PP depending on mood or need
Plinking: Browning HP, ammo is less expensive than 9x18 when it comes to plinking.

I don't do competiton shooting, none around here.

Sig-Sauer "Classic" P series auto loader's. Namely,
