Want some irony?

My all time favorite - my chips are down go-to gun - last one I'd part with before the long dirt nap -

A Smith and Wesson Model 19 -4 w/a 6" barrel.

The irony is that it's a .357 magnum, which is near the bottom of my list of favorite calibers, right down there with the .25acp. Honestly, I have little to no use for the .357magnum,,,,not to say it's not one of the "Great's of all time",,just that I have little or no use for it.

1911

Colt CCO, followed by the Government model(purchased in 1976), a LW Officer's, and Para LDA Companion......will get another Government in the next year or so....they are all I have now, but they'll do quite nicely.

If I only had one favorite gun there'd much more room in the safe. SIG Sauer, Glock, Kimber, Walther and Colt are all represented.

Back to a quandry!!

My (ex) G26 used to be my fave!!
The wife confiscated that one and I just got another.
But, I took my new G30 out of the safe this weekend and guess what??
I think I've fallen for it!!

My all-time favorite sidearm is still my old Detonics .45.

I now carry my Taurus PT-145 Millennium Pro and my Kel-Tec P-32, but the ol' Detonics is still tops for accuracy and reliability.

Hands down, my super number one favorite, I no longer have due to circumstances. It was a Colt, 4 in Python. Pop cans at 100 yards with open sights shook in their boots (but I was a lot younger then) when we (it and I) were on the range. I also never felt alone when it was "with" me.
Today, because of circumstances, I prefer my Springfield mil spec 1911 for CCW, and my Ruger Super Redhawk for funnin' and for white tails.
May God bless,
Dwight
