What is your favorite shotgun?

Benelli M2 (big surprise if you read any of my posts)

I like Federal Law Enforcement Ammo (00 Buck, Flight Control)

Mine's my Mossberg 500. It's very easy for me to swap out my 18.5" HD barrel for my 28" hunting barrel. I've got thousands of rounds through it and it's never given me a single problem. I know if I take care f it (cleaning/lubing) it'll be there for me when I need it, plus I just prefer pumps as they're nice and simple. I use Fiocchi low recoil 00 buck for HD and various rounds for hunting depending on what I'm going out for.

10ga browning gold. wood/blue steel receiver, 30" barrel with truelock extended full all metal choke. Ammo is reloaded 1 3/8oz BBB steel at 1592/1585 fps depending on hull.

I like my 1951 JC Higgins, 16 gauge bolt action shot gun the most. It's cool because you don't see too many bolt action shotguns and you don't see that many 16 gauges, it's also fun to shoot.

My primary bird hunting guns are Browning Citori XS Skeet models, with 30" barrels ( in 12, 20 and 28ga ) depending on what I'm doing - from waterfowl to Quail.

If I travel with only 1 gun / and want it to do a little bit of everything - its a Benelli Super Sport, 12ga, 30" barrel. Its light at about 7# 3 oz ....and its a good hunting, sporting clays gun ..and Skeet gun..

My big game hunting days are over ...but it was always high caliber rifles ( .30-06 etc ) ...white tail deer, mule deer, elk, black bear primarily ...and I've never hunted deer with a shotgun / so don't know anything about it.

I depend on my handguns for defense ...in the one in a gazillion chances I'd ever need it ...its a Wilson Combat 1911 in .45 acp. I've fired a lot of tactical shotguns - but frankly I don't see the attraction. If I felt like there was a serious problem - where a handgun wasn't adequate - I'd grab the Benelli Super Sport / pull the plug out and use it --- or grab a lever action rifle probably... But I train weekly with my handguns / I'm very confident with them within 30 feet easily.

My cousin got my grandfather's Auto-5, so I don't have anything too impressive. For birds and clays and whatnot, I like my 1300 with whatever loads are appropriate for the job.

For general entertainment I like my Saiga 12 with whatever cheap, loud, heavy-recoiling ammo I have around at the moment.:)

Mossbergs are at the top of my list .
My J.C. Higgins model 20 is similar to the Mossberg in design and it's kind of like a Mossberg on steroids.
Very similar in design and my favorite gun. I'm going to get another 500 soon and am looking for an older gun with some "character" marks.

Not my most shot, not my most versatile, maybe not even my most useful but the most fun would be my H&R single shot 10 gauge.

The ancient Ithaca that hangs on my uncle's wall at the historic family farm. THe reason it is my favorite is because it has been through the hands of four generations of my family. I use it when I go home to hunt pheasants on the family place outside of Findlay, OH.

At the risk of be classified a shotgun elitist, here goes...

Gun: Perazzi Mirage Special Skeet w/ Briley tubes and J-S Air Cushion stock.

Why: I have newer and prettier P-guns, but, in the last NSSA event I entered (a 28-ga) it shot the only 100-straight to the consternation of several K-gun shooters with 99's.

HD/Hunting?: Not with this gun.

Ammo: Reloaded W-W Double-A hulls with Green Dot powder and Clay Buster wads.
