My favorite is my Swedish Mauser 6.5x55mm. Oh wait, you said .308! Sorry. I meant to say my Remington 700 VS with Leupold 6.5-20x50mm Long Range Target Scope and a HS Precision PRT 25 Stock. I know you guys are tired of seeing this picture, but here it anyways.
I know it's an antique with a production life as short as it's little barrel, but it's my favorite .308
Very light and handy, and if the bullet dosen't kill what you shoot at, the muzzelblast will!
Browning BLR leveraction, ops, you said favorite not best, oh well it is my favorite also. I know it is a leveraction but I think it is a far better choice for me.
I look forward to saying it's my Ed Brown Savanna Model 702, left-handed bolt with a Swaroviski Habicht AV 4-12x50mm scope. I ordered it last month and Brown said it left his shop today. I should have it by Friday

Remington 700PSS with Badger Ordnance rings and Picatinny base holding Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10X40LR M3, Turner Saddlry sling, Harris bipod. The action is slick as owlsh*t.
Rem 7 w/a 2X8 - not a tack-driver, but the elk don't care (well, matter of fact, they do ) - quick, handy 'n good enough to do 400+lb critters all day long.
