What is with gun prices in Va.?

Damn! $319 for a Kel Tec. Normal price here in the Lehigh Valley is $239, when on SALE I have seen them as low as $199. Glock models 30 and 36 sell for $519, all other models are between $449 and $469 depending on what store you go to.

To the Armory via I-64, from the North:

Take I-64 East through the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel. Follow I-64 East in a Southward direction through Norfolk past Norfolk International Airport, past the I-264 interchange, and on over the twin bridges right beyond the interchange. You are entering the Kempsville area of Virginia Beach. Take the "Indian River Road East" exit onto Indian River Road. Go about a half mile (and I think about four stop lights) and begin looking for McDonald's restaurant on the right. Once you see McDonald's, begin looking for Brewster's Ice Cream about a half block up, also on the right. Turn into the parking lot for Brewster's, taking the second turn, right past Brewster's building. The Armory is the far left shop in the strip mall at the back of the parking lot. Well worth the trip.

Here's their website with address, email, and phone number:

Check out the rifle rack on their front page. That's a typical stock load. Their ammo prices are great, too.

We carry a little bit of everything (old and new) and can get whatever we don't have (within reason) that you're after. The owner likes older military rifles (Mauser's, M44's, etc.), and we usually have a good supply of them. One of the M44's is a 1953 version that was never issued and never fired. It's cherry!

We're also a master dealer for Kimber, and can get pretty much any model from them you want within a week or so. And we have three guys working there who went to Glock armorer's school, and they won't break you (parts plus $15-30 labor for most things) if you want them to do some work.

I'm probably the least firearms-knowledgeable person who works there. Well, maybe a tie between me and the new guy. But I sure love to talk guns, and if I don't know the answer to a question I'll find out for you.

Also, to add to the excellent (and totally accurate) directions provided to the store: if you get to Kempsville Rd. (and can see the big Texaco station on your right) you have gone too far. Turn into the gas station and loop back through their parking lot to the little strip mall where you'll find us in the end unit.

I'm working this evening, for those of you who are out and about. I won't be there Saturday because I'm shooting IDPA down at Blackwater.

Excellent customer service and good prices on great guns are our priorties. Stop in once, and I can pretty much guarantee you that you'll be back! :D
