I am looking pretty hard at the SW M69, a Mernickle high ride hoslter and loading 205gr flat base truncated cone cast bullets to about 850fps in 44magnum brass as a one gun for life kinda solution.

The slow 205s can probably be loaded to make major for steel target without exceeding range max power factors, and hopefully penetrate 24" of water with the same load.

Ought to be pretty economical on powder, maybe 7-10gr of several different shotgun powders, the brass ought to last forever. 804fps will make major for USSPA at my home range, 975fps would put me at range max power factor.

When its time to go hunting, keep the muscle memory, buy a box of 44magnum off the shelf, adjust the rear site and go. I got to go find one of these at my LGS.

A super redhawk with a 9 inch barrel and a 3x scope.

Anyone who can conceal an M-4/AR-15, an Uzi pistol, or a Rossi double barrel coach gun, can easilly conceal a SRH 9 inch with scope. :)
