Pardon my ignorance, but who is Bill Jordan and why does what he says carry so much weight? BTW, I completely disagree with his statement.

Bill Jordan was a very famous Border Patrol officer, incredible display shooter, survivor of a number of gunfights, a driving force behind the K-frame, and an author as well.

I agree with Jim March, that Jordan's statements predate much of the advancements in shooting and handguns.
