What is "Knock Down Power"

Like I say, there's probably someone here who has been knocked down when he fired his first shotgun when he was a kid. That would be a case of the knockdown power being on the wrong end.

Do boxers have knockdown power? It sure looks like some do. Do bullets? Everyone says they don't.

Seen adults "knocked" over when shooting up at ducks from an unbalanced position.

I've seen an instructor use one thumb and forefinger to pull a shooter over on their back when leaning rearward (no gun, demo only) in the issoceles position.

I've read of incidents where the shooter suffered a broken shoulder when shooting a .460 at elephants. The elephant went down. The shooter didn't.

WDM Bell shot elephants with a .275 Rigby. They dropped stone dead before they hit the ground when the bullets penetrated the brain.

Of course, I did witness one incident in a Hollywood production where the bartender fired his dbl. barrel at a couple of bad fellows standing 10 ft. apart. One blew back thru the window and landed in the horse trough. The other went thru the swinging doors and landed on the board walk. Guess that scores one for your side. The bartender was still standing, but, hey, wall could have kept him from being launched in the opposite direction.:D

I knocked down a deer once, it was with my car :) she was still alive tho so I called the sheriff, he shot it in the head with 00 buck as I wished to keep the deer. I knocked it down, he stopped it from living. (Broke both front legs with the car) I dont recommend either for long life and well being.
