What is it about the freedom arms revolvers that give them such a high price?

Add me to the list of folks who believes all that he has read about the fine quality, workmanship, finishing and accuracy of the Freedom Arms revolvers, and would absolutely get in line for a chance to spend a solid pile of money on a double-action revolver from them.

As it stands, I find myself quite unlikely to ever own a Freedom, simply because I don't care much for single action revolvers.

There certainly exists a market (however small) for a seriously high-quality, show-stopping double action revolver with a NOT low price. Yes, the market would be small -- not at all unlike the market for what Freedom makes right now. Small market.

My field grade 555 .50AE w/convertible .500 Wyoming Express cylinder has absolutely NO discernible end play or rotational play with either cylinder. Hammer down or cocked makes no difference - there is NO play. The barrel/cylinder gap is so tiny as to be nearly invisible - a .0015" (one and one half thousandths of an inch) feeler gauge won't slip into the gap - and yet, there is never any binding from powder or lead fouling. A few years ago, I had a 2x Leupold on top and took a head shot on a small 3x3 mulie just below my house at a lased 145 yards from a rock solid prone position and put a 350 grain cast WFNGC directly through the brain. It was the only shot presented and I had practiced extensively with this load out to 150 yards on my range. If the wind isn't blowing, it will put them all on a 4" paper plate at that range.
