What is "cheap Wal Mart ammo"?

I went in to WalMart just today and bought 2 100rd boxes of WWB... oddly enough, about 60 of the 200 rounds were headstamped WCC 11 with the NATO compass. I don't think they dumb down ammo just for WM, it all comes off the same production line.

As it was, I wound up paying $11.35/50rd w/tax, out the door. Not great, but not bad these days.

All it means is some people cannot mention Wal-Mart without throwing in some negative connotation.
Same stuff sold elsewhere but (usually) at lower prices.

Don't forget, a few of the smaller gun shops buy their ammo at Walmart and mark it up.

A few years ago, when getting any kind of ammo was difficult, gun dealers were buying it from Walmart as fast as Walmart could unpack it.

To be fair, I'm not a big fan of WalMart; I used to deliver to their distribution centers and I didn't care how they treated the Outside Drivers... I thought it was a disgrace. I also saw the tremendous amount of foreign-sourced product that was going in there (with the understanding that every retailer has that, too... :( )

We go to WalMart about once a month for about 5 items (bottled water, Mobil1 oil and oil filters, paper goods, a very few grocery items, and ammunition.)

I have no qualms with buying ammo at walmart. I can get it for similar to online prices and not have to pay shipping. Plus, its convenient.

The only reason I buy online or go to bass pro is for bulk buying .223/5.56, or quality carry HP ammo.

As much as I hate to think what Walmart has done to small businesses the fact they offer the same exact product at a lower price is undeniable.

Walmart ammo isn't cheap(here in ohio anyway). I stoped at walmart last night. Win white box was 15.95 for 50 rounds. I buy pmc bronze at my lgs for 10.99 for 50.
Both were 115gr.

my cheap ammo is handmade on the shelf with RCBS

at least Wal Mart is usually good old USA ammo

some of the foreign stuff isnt reloadable

noteable exception to foreign rule although lots is made in mo.

Fiocchi makes great stuff

WWB is the only ammo I ever bought at walmart. That is because in this small town nobody else sells it. I know some people hate on WWB because it is dirty, but I like it a lot. I have never had a problem with it.
