What is a Trophy Deer?

This muley does make B & C minimums but its still a trophy to me. The buck was taken in rough country after a long stalk to get within 30-30 range. A memorable adventure I cherish.

I dunno what is considered a trophy, but I do know which is considered the best: The one that drops closest to the truck!
 
My idea of a tophy has changed over the years and I assume will continue to evolve. When I was young(until I was 16 or 17) any 8pt. was a trophy. I decided that I would kill nothing but big mture deer and does when I was 20 or so. I'm 36 now and I killed a 10 pt that netted 168 three years ago(I'm lucky, not good) and now I don't plan on killing anything under 150 again except for cull bucks. That is currently my idea of a trophy. My idea of a trophy for my 11year old daughter is a good doe.
