1 - A membership in my school pistol club. Range time, cheap ammo, coaching, and competition, all for forty-five bucks a year. This was the deal of the century.
2 - Prescription glasses. I used to have problems with keeping the front sight in focus. Went to the eye doctor, problem solved!
3 - A logbook. It helps me to keep track of my scores, and to keep notes on problems with my technique, range conditions, et cetera...

So far? More ammo.

Soon? Better glasses. (If it weren't for considering the alternative, I'd say aging sucks.)

A good air pistol, and shooting twenty pellets each day at least.

Also, after getting correct military training, my scores with
centerfire handguns and rifles improved a lot.

Practice, practice and more practice, is what improves anybody shooting skill/s.
