What gun is this?

Comes down to what the gun will be: a shooter? An investment? A display piece? A rare variation of a specific model line collected, to complete the collection?

To me, I like original, or as close to it as possible. I also like the looks of guns that show use, but no abuse.
 
Regarding the magazine length, can you tell if the end cap is flat or domed? They were normally flat on full magazines, and usually domed on shorter length mags. Is there evidence of a magazine ring filled on the bottom of the barrel, or the hole for the mag cap screw near the muzzle? Winchester didn't leave stuff like that on shorter magazine guns, they made them without the extra holes and slots.

The scope mount hurts the value, and yes, the wood isn't very nice, but its not hopeless. Stocks from 94s of the same period fit, there were scads of 92s and 94s made. A modern replacement stock wouldn't bother me either.
