What grade did the Brady Bunch give your State concerning CCW laws?

Checking their web site, there is no way to contact them. I guess they don't want anybody to correct or discuss their stats. :)

Hey Rebar. We only got a B+? I'm disappointed. I'd have thought at least an A. :D

Depends where you live, it wholy depends on the Chief of Police for your town. If you're in the greater Boston area, or around Springfield, forget it, that's an A+ for sure. If you live further out, and have a real chief, then you have a chance.

It's not that they don't have it... It's just that they bury (hide?) the info where nobody's ever gonna look.

Anytime "the brady bunch" says something is terrible, it automatically makes me think it just might be great. And....... Alaska is just about perfect to me :D

The website is out of date, though, as it shows Ohio as having no concealed carry allowed. I don't think that's true anymore, is it?QUOTE]

HELL NO it ain't true!!!!

*Ahem* - 'scuse me,,sorry, got a little carried away. :o

Ohio can do a happy dance. We went from a "Brady "A" to a "Brady "D-"

Now that's! Sumpthin to be happy for!

Maybe if I email 'em and remind 'em a lot of Ohio is Class III friendly we can get that grade up to a "Brady "F".

Wow, F- in vermont and alaska? I didn't know such a grade was possible. I'm glad to see PA managed an F.

What does F stand for? Looks to me like it stands for "freedom" on this website.

Indiana: F

no law enforcement discretion
no safety training required
background check: details not specified, fingerprints required
18 year olds can get permits
non-state residents may apply, must apply in person
permit valid for 4 years
Places off limits include: schools, school functions, school buses, riverboat casinos
Reciprocity: any state permit

the thing about non-residency is only if your place of buisness is in indiana... but why would the brady corp shine indiana in a good light

**gotta work on that f- grade

In one of the bluest states there is (at least in Seattle proper) we get an "F" every year. We have been able to make guns the third rail of politics in WA state.

"F" SOOOOOOOOOOOO Proud!!! :D

Love that rating scale:
Florida gets an F, though you cannot carry in a number of social settings.
My birth State of CT get's a B-....people, I can carry in CT, virtually anywhere but a school; bars, sporting events, concerts....you name it, I'm legal.

So why the discrepancy in grades?
Simply because CT law allows minimal discretion to bureaucratic Police Brass in granting a permit.

Once again, Sarah shows where her priorities are. So long as there's a bureaucrat at the wheel, little else matters.

I think we need to build our own website like the Brady Bunch did. All the firearm forums need to band together showing the true statistics of firearms. There only needs to be one gun law, thats Responsibility ;)

CC Laws

One thing bugging me is the number of states with non-reciprocity. Makes it a little tough planning a vacation trip and still stay legal. Don't know how some of those states regard locked storage etc., or in your motel room etc.
