What do you think???

I bet that he does know the law and wouldn't be surprised if it was some sort of entrapment scheme. With what we know about the ATF and other federal agencies practices we would be foolish to put anything past them..

Good on the OP for refusing the deal. I think you should report the seller to the site he sells out of. It's just a matter of time before he puts a unsuspecting person jail.

I am the least paranoid guy you'd meet, I just was starting a conversation based on the stricter enforcement under Obama and here in NY in particular. Just some food for thought, I am not a black helicopter believer by any means.

There is a good bit of remedial reading comprehension in this thread.

The OP was quite clear. Some responses...less so.

Read twice, post once. Or at least read once.

Funny, I have my AR advertised on line and got an email from someone in NY that said they would take it if I would ship it to their home! I said sure, send me your FFL,and haven't heard another word!! :D

Thanks for all that have understood my point. All shooters need to educate themselves or they may be lured into an unsuspected sting. They happen all the time here in NY and I fully understand why some FFL's do not want any part of doing business here. I once called the ATF to ask some questions about selling an AR-15. I was so stupid then, the agent didn't even want to hear the buyers' name. He actually said he is NOT allowed to know that information. I wish they would devote their energy to catching the real bad guys and not harassing legit gun owners....
