What Do You Do If You Leave Your Gun C. C . At Home

I leave mine at home a fair share. I can't always carry it based on what I am doing in the day. If I forget it, I usually just keep on forgetting about it until the next time I am home.

If I have left it laying out, and remember that its not in the safe at home (such as on the dresser from when I was changing), I will swing by to pick it up/put it away at my convenience. I don't like leaving my CC gun laying about unsecured.

I go about my day without giving it a second thought.

I am completely comfortable going about my day to day life unarmed. I don't, mind you, but I would if I had to.

No one mentioned going home and then finding out your roscoe was empty. Now who has that ever happened to?
I have had that happen to me. I had unloaded my gun to show it to a friend and then failed to reload it before later picking it up and slipping it into my holster before leaving the house.

+1 on that... Well if truth be told, +3 or 4 on that.

I've walked out of the house with it completly empty and also with nothing in the chamber. The worst (all though not really related) was when I forgot to decock, now that was scary.

to prevent this fron happenning I just wear a belt around my waist with a holster/gun on it 24/7 like John Wayne and Kirk Douglas in the movie "the War Wagon"

hey it works for me.

I usually always take it. On the other hand, have you ever taken it and forgot to disarm when you had to. I went to a Cincinnati Red's game once and got almost all the way to the stadium from the parking garage before realizing I was still armed :o Had to turn around and walk all the way back to the car and then start over.

For those of you that keep a gun in your truck/car 24/7, please check the thread I will post soon so I don't hi-jack this one.

When I first started carring I bought a sw99 compact becuse I didn't have any thing smaller than a K frame smith, but found myself still leaving that at home cause I spend part of my day in an office and didn't want any one to catch a glimpse I was carring or leave it in a company vehicle.
So I did something I thought I would never do, I bought a little p3at with a belt clip and I never worry about showing at work and carry the 40 when I'm not at work. I dont have the faith in my kel tec tha I do in my other pistols but all having all the faith in the world in a pistol won't do me any good if its at home locked up;)

If I leave home without it, I go back home and get it. It doesn't happen anymore because it's become a habit. It's like if I start driving without using my seat belt. I feel like something's off.

My workplace doesn't allow firearms on the campus, not even in the car, so I only carry after work or on weekends. I always carry if the option is there.
