What did I find?

It is a kinifler bearing counter weight for the old Fordson tractor of the 40's used on the three point hitch--I casted many of them in my day.
 
Put a small shaving in some muretic acid , if it fizzes it`s zinc, lead or tin will have O reaction .

Please use precautions useing/handling muretic acid !!
 
I still haven't had a chance to refill propane yet, but figure it isn't lead... the little shavings I got from trying to drill it, I put into my cast iron pan and put in fire pit one night while enjoying a fire... they never melted, but just kinda shriveled up and withered into a dust... This is why I never got my hopes up that it was lead, but would still like to know what it is now!!!
