Trying not to personally attack TA

known international terrorist regime

You can't be serious. Perhaps we should just go to war with every Mid East nation. I'm sure a terrorist has visited or wired money through probably all of them.

I'm trying really hard, I promise

Funny, but I haven't seen any reports on the intel or government sites I frequent, nor in the conservative or liberal mainstream media outlets---that claim our ships are running out of fuel and other necessary supplies.

I reject your absurd claim that we need to cozy up to a known international terrorist regime in order to get our ships refueled.
I'm on one of those ships right now, smart guy. Note my posting times and do the math which part of the world I'm in.

I posted this thread as a direct result of my job frustrations and visits to UAE. Where do you think our supply ships get supplied? Do you think oilers make oil and grow vegetables? Are you about to lecture us on how international shipping works?

What parts of the Middle East did you favor when you visited? Which wonderful country's ports are you talking about? Your choices are Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi, Bahrain, UAE, Oman and Yemen.

I'm unimpressed, to say the least.

It's unconscionable that a U.S. serviceman is a cheerleader for a known international terrorist regime.

Multiple members of the UAE royal family met with Osama bin Laden in February of 1999, AFTER Osama's attacks on our embassies in 1998. The embassy attacks and Osama's responsibility for them, were reported by virtually every media outlet IN THE WORLD---TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, internet etc.

So don't try to feed us the BS excuse that "Oh gee, the UAE royal family just couldn't have known about it."

Appeals to ridicule will get you nowhere, but judging by your lame posts and weak excuses---that's about the best you've got.

Oh, you're frustrated---so that makes it OK for Bush to allow a known international terrorist regime to take over control of our ports. :barf:

Ah, yes. So I am once again correct. There ARE other ports in the Middle East---SEVERAL others.

Of the ones you mention---UAE, Iran, and Saudi Arabia are definitely out. They have the strongest ties to international terrorism, which have been overwhelmingly documented by U.S. and foreign intelligence agencies, as well as by numerous private entities.

I don't doubt there are terrorists in the others I didn't mention---but their governments don't come up near as often in intelligence reports detailing major terrorist financing and attacks.

The UAE is absolutely one of the worst choices, since as both an international banking power AND a world oil power, their pockets are VERY deep. Thus they are able to finance major terrorist organizations and attacks on a worldwide basis, year after year.

You made your point, great. Too bad you couldn't make it without personal attacks. I have just about had it with the lack of civility displayed around here lately, and those of you who can't keep a civil tongue in your heads need to be looking for alternative venues.
