What BUG should I get?

Ruger LCP: Recoil was really bad in this very small gun, the sights were very poor.

Sir, out of your current options the Ruger is the best. Dry firing should help with the trigger pull. This revolver was never meant to be a target pistol, so at the ranges you may need a second weapon the sights should be just fine. As for recoil if you have to shoot the Ruger for real you will not notice the recoil.

Charter Arms makes solid, functional, relatively inexpensive short barreled revolvers, and they can be had in several calibers. Worth looking into.

I've personally fallen in love with carrying a S&W M&P 9mm as my primary and the M&P 9 compact as my bug. They're the most naturally pointing pistols I've ever owned, they are not too heavy, and I can use the full size mags in the compact, which eliminates the need for me to carry more than one type of reloads.

Thanks for all of the input and advice guys. Taurus has supposedly repaired my gun and it will be arriving via fed ex tomorrow morning. On wednesday I will be going to my LGS and see what they can do for me. I will let you know what happens.

Well I decided. I got my Taurus back today and it was repaired properly. I went to my lgs and traded it for a Rock Island .38 special revolver. It feels great in my hands and was brand new so it has a lifetime warranty for me. I am happy with it, but I did order better grips for it off of ebay. Thanks for all of the advice guys.

Mods this thread can be closed as I have said and got what I needed. If it needs to remain open for others than that is fine too.

It's too bad you took a gamble on the Taurus pistols. The money wasted on those probably would have put you within $300 of a Rohrbaugh R9.

I'm always tempted by Taurus and Hi-Points, and I always talk myself out of parting with my money for them.

The other pistols I was going to suggest you might want to try are the Diamondback DB9 and Sig P290.

Let us know how your revolver works out...
