My two M1903A3s are Remington made and all three of the M1s are Springfield made. Three M44s are made in Poland, Some of the K98s are from Germany or occupied countries. The other K98/M48As are Yugos. #4 mk1 is a BSA. All the SKSs are Russian made.

What nobody has mentioned (yet)

After a quick mental inventory, the rifle I have the most of is MAUSER!

Followed by Remington (5), all model 600s!:D, and Ruger (5), and a bunch of others in slightly lesser numbers.

So, I voted "other".

I've never been real loyal to any one brand. I have a variety of Remington, Winchester, Marlin, Ruger, Weatherby, Browning, and DPMS.

I don't know how many Rem's you own but certainly I own more CZ's than you own Rem's

Well, pin a rose on your nose.

How would you know, and who cares?

it's just a poll so what is the idea of comparing Rem's with Brown's, we will never decide which is best, both have pros and cons.

I think Brownings are better than Remingtons and I own a bunch of both of them but Weatherby is better than both, but even that I own more Brownings

I put down remington but thats only if I count shotguns also, have quite a few marlins, how can you go wrong with those cheap model 60s?

1898

My vote goes to Paul Mauser, most bolt guns are some sort of a copie of this action anyway! I get all warm and fuzzy when i see a 1909 Argintine with all matching numbers.......:D

Guess I'm an oddball, as I only own:

1 Browning (1885 .270 Win)
1 Winchester (M-70 carbine .270 Win)
1 Ruger (77/22)
1 Garand
1 SKS
1 MAK-90
1 Suhl 150-1 Standard (.22 LR)
1 CVA (Frontier rifle, .45)
1 Daisy (Powerline 880, currently inoperable)

Winchester

Own more Winchesters, all old however, when I was younger when gun were cheaper I bought a lot ofused winchesters, i figured they would be worth something someday, still waiting.
When I buy new it is Browning

If you count rimfires, airguns, and upper/conversions, then:

1. 2-way tie: Ceska Zbroyovska & NEF/H&R (4)
3. 2-way tie: Marlin & Rossi/Braztech/LSI (3)
5. 3-way tie: Savage & Bushmaster & RWS/Dynamit-Nobel (2)
8. 10-way tie: Winchester & Henry & Remington & Armalite & Norinco & Izhmash & Howa & Mech-Tech & Atchisson/Ceiner & Crosman (1)

Got a poor-man's collection going...

Actually, #1 would be "milsurp" - mausers and others - but I didn't count those.

Agree that we now need to do a "Re-dux" thread and add the following makes to the current list of 7:

8. Browning
9. NEF/H&R
10. Rossi/Braztech/LSI
11. Colt
12. Norinco
13. Izhmash
14. Baikal
15. Marlin
16. Sako
17. Tikka
18. Kimber
19. T/C
20. Mossberg
21. Howa/Vanguard
22. Steyr
23. Taurus
24. Henry
25. FN
26. Armalite
27. Bushmaster
28. Rock River
29. DPMS
30. Olympus
31. Smith & Wesson
32. "Other AR15 Maker"
33. Milsurp (as a general category - Mausers, Mosins, Enfields, K31s, etc.)

at least those...who wants to start it? :)
