i don't know who is running but, what happens if all the canidates are against guns, what would you do?

1. vote
2. will not vote
3. will vote but will hate my decison

i don't know how to do a poll so this is as good as it gets. sorry

feel free to express you opinions, i grant flame suits to everybody.:D

The core of the issue is folks who say they only vote guns. That is really baloney because most of those folks are quite conservative and it is more likely a conservative candidate will be at least mildly progun (or BS you about it, like GWB).

Thus, they say they only vote guns because the correlation of guns and conservatives makes such a statement easy and most don't even see this.

The test is a libertarian or liberal candidate who would be strongly progun but doesn't buy into the social conservative crappola.

There are other equally important civil liberties issues besides guns - however most of the folks who say they only vote guns are against these civil liberties. :D

How's that for a flame war.

very profesional. i still like what you wrote. i know there will be other considerations for people to vote but i am focusing on just guns because this is a gun forum, and if i stray then this tread will be closed.

i do want to heard people's opin on this

When a presidential candidate steps up and says he is going to get rid of the GCA of 68 then thats a progun candidate. otherwise its lipservice and a few acts.

We have survived 8 years of Clinton...not because of progun politicians but because of gun owners and citizens dedicated to the second amendment. Organizations like the NRA and others who are made up of these gun owners kicking some off the politicinas in the rear to remind them.

Start stocking up again on ammo, hi cap mags, and AKs. like i did when gore was running. And sending the NRA some more money.Plus i would vote just so i could b*tch about it.

Nonsense, it's no one's fault that the democratic party is the gun-grabber's party.

A pro-gun liberal candidate would never get the nomination from their own party, so that's a non-issue. A libertarian, if they were an actual viable candidate running an actually viable campaign, would do well. Too bad such a creature hasn't been seen yet.

We don't know yet who will be running....but...

My prediction is Hillary will be the next president (yes, we all know she says she hasn't made up her mind yet). If you think the worthless gun laws were bad under Bill, well, you just wait, my friend. You ain't seen nothin' yet.

When this happens, my theory will come to pass; We're in a big toilet, waiting to be flushed!

If the Democrats want to win and stay in power they won't run Hillary. She is too "in you face" to the republicans and the escalation of the mean spirited BS will turn the public against both sides.

Both parties have turned the country into a hate festival and the best thing they could do is get away from those in power and run some fresh faces that have real IDEALS

Of course this would be good for the country so it won't happen. Hillary will run and if she wins will attack our gun rights unmercifully. Then after we lose our guns the socialist breakdown of the country will happen so fast you will hardly have time to pack a bag to leave.

They will run Hillary, and here's why.

They really, truly, believe they're in the mainstream, and the reason the republicans have been winning, is because the republicans's cheat and lie. And that's the only reason they lose. Not that they have no real agenda, not that their philosophy is morally and intellectually bankrupt. It's that "red" America are a bunch of crazed fundimenalist rednecks that don't know any better, who have been hoodwinked by the republicans.

So they will run Hillary, without a doubt. Hillary represents the core of todays democratic party, sad as it is to us.

You may be right about Hillary running. I believe though that it will be the hardest race the democrats will ever win. First a democrat like Hillary will ignight the republican base like no other democrat can.

Her socialist views will bring every repub out to vote. Also I don't believe that America is ready for a woman president yet. Alot of people just don't think women can run the USA and my wife is one of them. No history of doing well in government.

Democrats could win if they did something about the border and could be trusted to leave our guns alone. The fools though voted now to ban guns in San Fran and the repubs will get alot of mileage out of that.

You just can't trust a democrat.

IMHO the question to vote or not to vote, regardless of any issue, is immaterial. As an American, voting is not just a right it is a DUTY.

Hillary can't run for Prez.
She already had two terms. :p

"They really, truly, believe they're in the mainstream, and the reason the republicans have been winning, is because the republicans's cheat and lie."

How can that be when Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd and Snow White all voted Democrat in Ohio. (And in more than one county)

All I know for sure is two things;
1) The next election won't be about the good of the people, it will be about sound bites and the image forced by talking heads on the public. :barf:

2) I'm getting tired of the "lesser of two evils" :(

I think Dr. Rice can win, and win with a big margin.

That's because we only pay attention to the "big" races. The time to support and groom a candidate is when they're first starting out, at the local and state levels.

A candidate being pro gun is important to me and I don't want to hear the statement that "I don't want to take away guns from hunters." or something like that. The other side of that statement is that they do want to take away guns from somebody and it isn't only criminals. About a year or so before the election things will shake out. I do believe Hillary will run for president. Kerry also wants to run again, I believe. When the candidates positions start changing for the sake of the election campaign, it is the duty of the citizen to look closely at a candidate... it is not just what they say now or during the election, what is important is their stances prior to the election when they had no reason to be on-guard about their opinions or voting record. Hillary is a mean spirited socialist and is about as anti-gun as you can get. I want neither type of president. Maybe this is in part why the Second Amendment was included in our constitution.

Give money to the NRA. They aren't perfect, but they are the best we got.

Hillary loses without the help of the gun owning sheeple

My prediction is Hillary will be the next president (yes, we all know she says she hasn't made up her mind yet). If you think the worthless gun laws were bad under Bill, well, you just wait, my friend. You ain't seen nothin' yet.

She may very well win - the leftist/socialist media, hollywood and academic socialists will move heaven and earth to try to make it happen.

She cannot win without the help of the pathetic, blind, moronic gun owning sheeple who will vote for her.

1. There is NO doubt she is running in 2008
2. There is NO doubt she WILL win the Democratic nomination(by far)
3. She is the overwhelming favorite of the Democratic party

Despite some of your/my dislike for Hillary, she can easily win the election:barf: She has been constantly trying to move to the middle effectively for her voting record(not that she really is though).
What makes any of you think she can't win for President? Unless Rudi, McCain or Rice run there is NO Republican who can stop her. She is guaranteed to win Cal.(55)NY(31)Ill(21)Penn(21) and most of the NE. If Fla or Ohio go Democrat(easliy could happen) she wins. Start taking her run for Presidency serious----NOW. Don't try the wait and see attitude or it will be too late. This run for Presidency has been in the works for YEARS!

Unless the republicans run a good solid candidate, she will win. If they blow it and run some RINO like McCain or Guliani, she's a shoe-in.

Actually those are only 2 of 3 who CAN b eat her. Rudi would take NY for sure and the National polls show both McCain and Rudi would win today if there were an election over Hillary!:D

Guns are just one issue of many that I look at because I support the entire bill of rights.
I really hope that I don't have to pick between Hillary and another neo-con. I'd be forced to vote 3rd party in that case.
I would vote immediately for Clark or McCain if either runs. If (miracle of miracles) I get to choose between those 2, I'll go for whichever ends up counter-balancing the senate.
