Ahhhh....

The smell of fresh paint, the clean floors, newly washed windows, fresh towels in the washroom, fresh linens on the bunks, and clean dishes in the cupboard can only mean one thing...

We've got our work cut out for us. I give us a week and this place'll be smellin' like the old one.

First things first! Schmit! Get cookin' Gunny. A fifty-five gallon drum of chili should get things started right. Where the hell is Dennis with that truckload of Shiner? (I knew I should have driven that truck and let him drive the Guinness van.)

George! Where's that washin' machine gun of yours? Don't tell me you lost it again?! Ahh, DC, nice knives you've got there. No, -really. I was just joking about duct-taping them to my AK. I don't even have a bayonet lug on it... honest. I'd never mis-use your special kitchen tools. DC? DC? You in there? Uh-oh, she's got *that* look in her eyes again. I'm outtahere!!! RICH, HELP!!!

Hey Jess..same here! Checked in this morning before work...and have been gone all day, so I missed the down time...and having to lug all the heavy stuff! WooHooo!

Glad the move went relatively smoothly, Rich! Nice digs!

Well, guess I better go study...we have a case that is going to litigation tomorrow...and I need to know my facts inside and out. This is why I went into Special Ed, right?

Happy birthday to me! I get a new, faster TFL for my birthday. . . .

Lemme find an outlet and I'll get a few fryers going . . . . crappie filets in this one . . . . bullfrog legs in this one . . . . morels in here, breaded with pancake mix and eggs . . . . .

And my sister'll be here in a bit to get the blackberry pies started . . . .

I thought I'd seen it all, until a 22WMR spun a bunny 2 1/4 times in the air!
 
When I was first got out of the service, I moved in with my parents until I could find a place. I took a vacation with my girlfriend to Nassau, Bahamas. When I got back to the states, I called my parents. They changed the friggin phone number while I was gone grrrr

I'll clean the fish DC.
 
Man that was one tough hike....the truck was full and Dennis made me walk the entire way.

Then when I did get here the guard didn't know the password, finally got inside and the
only space that's left is right by the latrine….and with all you guy's partying with beer, boiled
eggs and pickled herring….wheeeeeeeuuuuuu!

Now the mess hall is closed, the beer tent is off limits and even the donut dollies have gone.

We REALLY need to have a "full-on" get-together some time! I'd definitely go a state or two- maybe three- to meet several hundred TFL'ers...
 
Can you imagine the hysterical pee-pee dance that would result in the national press? (yeah, I stole that, deal with it.)

"Dark Warlord Rich Lucibella announced today that his followers, some would say his private army of 5000 heavily armed baby-killing machine-gun toting Rambo-wannabes, will converge on an unspecified location in the Arizona desert. Lucibella claims the gathering will be "just for fun," asserting that his followers will "drink beer, eat chili and shoot a lot of ammunition." Others take a darker view of Lucibella's intentions:

Camera cut to Sarah Brady: "We at Handgun Control Inc. are not opposed to the right to keep and bear arms, especially the inalienable right to hunt squirrels. We are simply saying that Lucibella and his minions are doing the public a disservice by implying that people can safely gather together to shoot guns. Children have the right to grow up in a world where no one questions that guns are evil."

Cue Brady tears.
Camera cut back to fluff-headed anchor thing as Brady begins sobbing.

"And so tonight, all the residents of Arizona can do is lock their doors, dress their children in kevlar, and wait to see what will come of this night of "fun" and gunfire for Rich Lucibella and his band of gunmen . . . . ."


You get the idea.

A get together? Good idea, but plan it far enough in advance that people can take vacation, etc. I haven't even been able to get to a Utah chapter meet yet!
