Smokin--the Lyman came in and looks real good but the cylinder rattles a little when you shake it. I guess I could tighten it up but looks like it has been stored awhile and fired. Don't want to break anything on it. It has a silver plated backstrap and trigger guard. Just a hint of cylinder rotation line over bolt but other than that -looks good. If someone doesn't buy it by Sat evening I'm gonna return it. Asking $300. By the way, did you get my PMessage on yer guns? I think we can work something out where neither be hurt and both gain. Write me.

The Twin--HE HE good name I just thought up

Well, I do understand--had a better day at the store in a good while. Actually sold the 3rd gen51 colt navy.:D:D Now, I've been in Cap and Ball School for 5 months now and I need at least a C to go on to next semester w/ daddy payin. An F+ or D- won't get it. So either flunk me out or giv me at least a c- And I also want a nice big certificate to hang on my wall since I'm spoiled. D:D

PM me again and we''l talk what I learned today. A guy is goin to the big BP shootout in Tenn., shortly. Ya'll know anything bout that?

Wild Billy

I mean't to answer as "The Twin" I guess that goes my chances for upgradin and a certificate. Dang it! I want that cerificate or my daddy ain't gonna give me his railroad money Ok , I know what you're gonna say: 2 chances for it -"Slim and None":(

Thanks Hardy ... there's a paper from Colt in the original box I don't know what you call it.
But I certify you anyway :O)

SG

there should be 2 brochures attached to the underside of the lid.

I know I'm certified:D But not yet certified in BP---still goin to school. I just wanted a promotion to the next semester. A small certificate will do. (Something like this: Billy has learned a little bit about BP revolvers and can shoot one safely. He has been able to hit beer cans at 35 ft away without hurting himself or anyone else):D

Smokin...helloo. I too want to sell some guns to give me somethin to keep the wolf from the door. But the nice ones and antiques I don't think are marketable at this time in my store. Brassers!!! are what they are buying. I grew up in the south and shot guns all my life until I discovered golf:D I feel I now know less than I did about these here guns than I did 6 mo's ago. Or learning too much!?. The story of my life: Never liked book learning --had to do it myself. Had to learn my own way. Well, anyway you and everyone else here has been a great learning experience-and I thank you. What about that piece posted on the BP thread? Of couse the nichol is gone, it's OLD. I want to know what you think:confused::)

Hardy I jus' had 11 Revs posted for sale on 3 sites including this one ... they are all gone now.
I'm sorry you missed the Backyard BP Rev Sale...

Smokin---did yu read great granpa's brother's letter on the "cleanin post" I'm lookin thru a bunch of them and Ima gonna find one that talks about these REVS. Great news on you selling pistols-hope you made out good. Seriously, I do. if you know anyone that wants that original pocket(Nichol mostly gone) but still intact & operational on the BP shop site---and that conversion pocket you saw--let me know. I bought those guns to show in the shop. They help---but don't want then after Christmas. The 2 Rem 1858's were made by Palmetto. I know no one likes those here in this room--but they look, feel, cock ok. Still in the boxes. I'm asking 239 for each. That can't be too bad for retail.
The Twin

Um , I only cocked one that is in display--the other is still wrapped in plastic w/factory grease in box and never been out of it.
The Twin, agin
