Weapons get DOT officers sacked

I don't see the RKBA issue. Some guys broke the rules at work and got fired.

If I were to falsify a document to purchase an otherwise prohibited rifle at a discounted price I think *I* would be prosecuted, though.

I'll bet these guys are probably more on our side than the anti's. They wanted their AR-15's...don't we all?

The RKBA issue is that these CITIZENS (regardless of job), have the RIGHT to obtain these guns without resorting to subterfuge, and the laws against their getting them easily are unconstitutional.

The second, separate issue is the one guy broke the rules (carrying a long gun on duty), so he shoud be fired. The others should not be punished, in my view.

No one is saying these guys shouldn't be able to buy their own ARs. I haven't read that here. Some of us are glad they got fired because they used department letterhead illegally, purhcased the ARs at LEO discounted prices, and then, against their agency's policy, they used them while on duty. That's three strikes, and where I'm from that gets you out.

So many pistols, so little money.

SWAT wannabes? Because they want to carry a patrol rifle? And what does that make all of you who want ARs.....

I can't stand hipocrites. You think that you should be better armed than the police, then you whine about how people should be able to expect protection. You whine about who can buy what and insult and deride fellow gun afficionados, alienate them, even.

You deserve whatever attitude you get from Law Enforcement.
