Have her try a TCP Taurus .380. The trigger is easy to use DAO.
And then as an alternative take apart the J .38, replace the robound slide spring with a Wolf 15 lb, polish the underside of the rebound slide, and use a dremel tool to polish the insides of the rebound slide with a cratex polishing wheel (it's cylinder shape and almost fits right inside the rebould slide spring hole.)
Then complety clean the inside of the J and use Microlon greese in all the parts.
Locktite all the screws and you will have a marvious DA pull.
