Please dont give me any more articles from free republic its just another propoganda rag just like the democratic ones. At least Blue gave a legit link for the argument.

I get stuff from the Democratic proganda machine all the time....it goes to the spam heap and gets deleted....which is what I would do with stuff from the free republic and news max

Sorry Im not as smart as you Wild...:cries:

so why dont we fire Rummy... I would trust you more than him. :D

but I do have a BBA in Business and was working on My MBA 3/4 of the way through. When Uncle called me for an expense paid vacation in the "War on Terror"...lol which I enjoyed and would go back again if I had not been medically retired. Turned that attention to Homeland Security in light of the bigger war that is going on in which I hope to participate and also anticipate going into Forensic technology in the spring.

Just that it not as boring as doing papers on the cell phone market in Thailand and how the Thai government regulations effects it...my last paper

BTW... read a copy of the Third Terrorist pretty interesting. Highly recommended by one of my profs who is a retired Naval Intelligence Officer who spent years overseas in asia and the middle east. I discovered it before she told me.

Intriguing article Blue...

I have talked with plenty of Engineer soldiers about digging in the desert and what was found....and they are still digging. I dont know how many teams are still out there looking for WMDs. We have sattelite technology that is capable of finding ore deposits and oil couldnt that be used to find WMD?

more intruiging would be all pics of the freshly made and painted Russian weapons that a Trans NCO showed me when they hauled materials back to the ports for Brit and American Intelligence. See if I can find him.

1. What does this have to do with firearms?
2. Eghad...what killed the Kurds?[\quote]

1. read the forum description

Round table discussions range from the Bill of Rights, to concealed carry, to general political issues.

2. read my other posts

3. The gas used on the Kurds is a tactical weapon not a stategic weapon. Nerve gas is a "denial of area weapon" and to boot is finicky to use. The use of it on the Tokyo subway killed 8 people. It vapor form too cold it frezzes, too hot it evaporates. The wind diffuses it. If I was a terrorist I would shy away from it... I dont think you could carry enough of it under your overcoat to a large event to kill hundreds of people. The again you could get a cropduster or helicopter to spray it.... but what would the chances of two middle eastern guys renting one of those going unreported these days?

1. Translation: Nothing. I just want to moan and complain about George Bush.

2. I did. Lot's of mish-mash and pseudo-intellectual diatribe.

3. I'll be darned. A WMD. Oh, and some opinion thrown in for good measure.

Eghad, you are simply trolling with your 'research'. You are moaning and complaining about the Bush administration. Nothing more. Nothing less. Why don't you stop clogging up the bandwidth with your posts? Please?

Eghad---

You can't be serious. The article wasn't written by freerepublic---it was reported as well as thousands of others BY the UN! Now you are just being defiant despite the facts presented to you. Again---it was a UN report!

We Got Attacked

We were attacked, were we not?

Unlike Japan's attack there is no nation to fight this time. We saw the meatball on the aircraft that hit Pearl Harbor, we knew where to take the battle. When we were struck by theorists, can you tell me which flag they were under? Can you pinpoint the country or government we should be fighting? If you say not Iraq, then we should not have attacked Afghanistan either.

This is going to be different a war from others. If we don't take this fight to them, they will take it to us.

Bin Laden and Al Quaeda were in Afghanistan, not Iraq. No one denied that, not even the Taliban.

Maybe we should attack Canada next.

Can we keep the Strawman out? (or are we done w/o him?)

Clarification

So you are saying that when we have finished the job in Afghanistan, that the war on terrorists is over? We can come home and let the rest of that region go back to normal. The terrorsts in other countries will just sit back and say its over and we don't have to worry about another attack.

I wish that this was a simple battle,. I wish there were national boundaries and clear cut combatants to take out. But this is not that type of war. We need to take war to them to keep them from bringing it here.

You need to understand that they want to wipe out our way of life. They want you and your family dead. They don't care how they do it.

Who care about the damn kurds! Why bring it up over and over! Much worse happens in Africa yet we look the other way? Come off it. Everyone is using the Kurds as an excuse and reason to justify it. There will never be peace in the region. If there is it will not last long. Terrorist groups will pop up as soon as the US leaves even if we wipe it clean.

There has never been peace in the region and there most likley will never be regardless of who tries to get rid of the filth and evil causing the problems. Don't let the false smiles of people you see on TV get to you.

Other Option

I guess we could pull out of the region. Then we could retaliate with nukes after the next attack. Make them glow.

Lets see now, Sadam attacks Kuwait in an effort to control more of the worlds oil supply. We and the united nations declare war on Sadam and drive him out of Kuwait. We set up a treaty that Sadam agrees to live by but he does not.

Eight years of peace under the Clinton administration had us constantly attacked in the no fly zone by Sadam, Peace is not working. All the democrats say that Sadam has WMDs and that we need to do something, yet we do nothing.

The Muslim extreemist see peaceful America as weak and they send teams to blow up the twin towers, the Cole, two embasies and murder dozens of our people. Clinton does nothing except run from Somalia.

The Muslims see we have been nutered by the democrats and send 19 men to finnish off the Twin towers but guess what? We now have a president that will go right into the heart of the Muslim lands and say we won't let you kill us anymore without a fight.

Of course the gun grabbing democrats chose to lie and change what this is all about to try and regain power and there are alot who are fool enough to not see the truth but the truth is we are there and doing a good job of killing terrorist. It amazes me that the democrats are against the outcome of this.

Choose a side and live or die with your convictions but never run from a fight.

If and when the war in Iraq is finished the "War on Terror" isnt going to be over. That war will be fought for years to come this is just the opening act. Al Qeada had 10 years on us to organize and get things together. They were thinking globally while we were still thinking in Cold War Terms. 10 years is a long headstart. We have been looking for Bin Laden for over four years now and still do not have him. Bin Laden still has backers in Saudi Arabia are we going to war with them next?

"The heart of Muslim lands" isnt in Iraq.... Try Saudi Arabia and the bunches of other countries around the world. Al Qaeda doesnt consider Iraq a "true" muslim country. A true muslim country would have had a leader along the lines of a Caliph who would be the political and religious leader rolled into one. I dont think Saddam was much on the religion umless it suited him.

Maybe

I think we should go after any country that gives safe haven to Muslim extremists.

One other thing that needs to be done is to seal our borders. But that is a topic for another thread.

Remember, Hitler could have stopped years earlier then it was done. Lives, including ours could have been saved.

yes I can be serious........

The United Nations has determined that Saddam Hussein shipped weapons of mass destruction components as well as medium-range ballistic missiles before, during and after the U.S.-led war against Iraq in 2003.

so what the UN report is saying is that the US couldnt find the WMDS but the terrorists could?

I read the article and it concerns components that are in a scrapyard in the Netherlands....

here is part of the report......

"It is not known whether such equipment and materials were still present at
the sites during the time of coalition action in March and April of 2003. However, it
is possible that some of the materials may have been removed from Iraq by looters
of sites and sold as scrap."

I have read the actual report have you or did you just read the article?

the actual report states that this reports only covers the period from 1 March to 31 May 2004.

nope Im not taking it serious

I think we should go after any country that gives safe haven to Muslim extremists.

At present count there are 46 Muslim majority nations, we are in two of them. There are 56 nations which have muslim minorities. These include France, Germany, and the UK and even the US.

I bet there are muslim fundamentalists in all of them....

which of these 112 nations do you propose we start with?

2. I did. Lot's of mish-mash and pseudo-intellectual diatribe.

translation: fancy words and names for your just another liberal who i dont want to hear from

sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me. :D

Eghad---

LOL, sounds like you're doing the same thing you're accusing the Bush Administration of doing---that's picking and choosing the points that make your case while ignoring the facts against your case.:barf:

Yep Ten years and 8 of em were because Clinton refused to do anything about Bin Laden. The chances Clinton thew away will never come again and we will pay for his lack of will.

"The heart of Muslim lands" isnt in Iraq....

Geographicly speaking it is the center but not the true heart and soul. I thought you would understand as we all know Iraq is not the center of the Muslim religion.

Sadam allways saw himself a new "Saladin" who was one of the greatest leaders in the Muslim history. He was the one who took back Jerusalem from the Christian Crusaders.
