It is great to know that others feel the same way as I do.

I hope my girls pass on what I teach them to their kids. I have told them that the men they marry must have good hunting property and a proper firearm collection. We'll see how that pans out in about 15 years.

You might be glad it wasn't your call. My two son-inlaws are great guys. One is a computor tech. who loves his Harley. The other is Toyota parts guy who loves baseball. Both my girls can outshoot their husbands and so it goes ... ;)

Pahoo, I have found that most girls that apply themselves and want to can outshoot most men. I find this most enjoyable when I take a couple shooting and show the female how to shoot while the male shoots because "He already knows how". The look on the male's face when he realizes that the female shoots far better than he can is incredible. It happens more than often.

I am sure my girls will pick a great spouse when the time comes and even if he doesn't have hunting land I am sure he will bring other valuable offerings to the family.

Deathfromafar, I do love some "Proper Hunting" and from the hunting shows I have seen from your country you have plenty to offer. Hopefully at some point in life I will be able to take you up on your gracious offer.

My youngest daughter finally shot her first deer this year. She has been trying to get one for three years now and she finally harvested something that you are probably very familiar with. There are a few exotic game running loose where we hunt and guess what her first deer ended up being. Well, if you didn't guess Red Stag you were wrong. She was so excited and proud of herself which she had every right to be. This weekend was her birthday and she received her European Mount as her surprise birthday present.
