We need some TFL votes for our photo.

I have once again entered my daughters in a photo contest that www.SWFA.com has every year. However this year the semi-family picture was chosen (wife did not want to be in the picture so she took it). We have won in the past and we use the winnings to fund my girl’s weapons and training. My girls do pretty much everything I do so it is imperative that they too have the equipment to participate.

They have been going hunting with me since they were each 2 ½ years old. They help me Range Officer and sometimes shoot in Tactical 3-Gun Competitions. They help field dressing and processing our harvest. They fish, camp and help me cook as well. I have even taken them to the Lone Star Medics 2 day “Medic 1” class. They are my pride and joy and I really feel sorry for any boy that may try to take advantage of them because that boy should worry about what the girls will do to them before I get a hold of them.

Voted, Great picture and doing things with the kids is the best. Enjoy your time with them cause they grow up way too fast!

Voted. Can't wait till my little girl is old enough to get involved. By the way, do you believe that toy guns will promote bad habits for later when I want to introduce her to the real thing? Been thinking about this lately. She's only 6 months.

Truth Addict, toy guns only promote bad habits if you allow those habits to form. Toy guns are excellent for training kiddos propper gun handling skills. I think it is better to get them started on toy guns than real guns because they are lighter weight and easier to handle, they cannot be dangerously loaded and they hopefully will not be mistaken for a real gun by someone.

Thanks for the votes and please keep the votes coming.

voted, it literally just takes a second. Good photo, its nice to see the whole family get involved and passing skills and knowledge to the next generation.

Thanks for all the votes. I really think it is important for fathers to include their children in gun activities. I try to make it an enjoyable moment and when they get tired we would leave. Because of that they now get mad when they cannot go with me hunting or to a shooting event. I am very blessed and I would sure like to see more kids out shooting, fishing and hunting.

DfA, I am a lucky father and blessed that they enjoy the hobbies I do. I think more fathers should try to take their kids out with them, it would sure help our interest grow.

I know the teachers my girls have enjoy hearing what we have done over the weekend and they like hearing about our hunting stories. My girls are definetely the minority in their elementary and middle school as gun owners and NRA members.

Thanks for the votes. Please keep getting more people to vote.

We are blessed !!!
