If you are looking for an adventure I would suggest building your own with the help of the "onliners" here. Pricewatch.com is a great place to locate all the materials needed. My other suggestion would be to know where your bottle-necks lie in your system. That is an important aspect for gaming. They are: (others-help me if I forgot something)

Processor--(+=600mhz)
Ram--(+=128m)
Bus speed(+=133mhz--200mhz)
Hard drive speed(+=7200rpm-!10,000rpm!)
video card(Maximum PC mag has a site that you can go to and see what they rate--they have a "kick-ass" rating that will give you a great card--then check pricewatch.com to see the price)
