Never heard of this being an issue with Springfield but I am curious to their response. My hunch is a quick and easy fix however.
It seems that most, if not all, problems with the 1911 come from modifications to Mr. Browning's design.
Maybe folks should leave well enough alone.
Not everyone is as smart as Mr. Browning.
Just a thought.
I don't think we concluded that the problem was due to the change, but the Champion has a 4-inch barrel and slide. The Browning design, as I'm sure you know, was for a 5-inch pistol.TunnelRat said:Wait.
