Wanted SP101 info

You could get a spring kit, which contains three different reduced pull springs. I remember that the 9lb spring wouldn't fire some 357s consistently, but was fine for 38 specials. You could start with the 12lb and see how that feels.

If I were you, I wouldn't worry too much about getting a buttery smooth trigger. Unless you're doing some serious target/competition shooting, it doesn't really matter that much. Just try the reduced hammer spring and practice some shooting.

If you're really handy, replace the trigger return spring with the one that comes with the kit. I personally don't think that one needed to be changed.

Well shot a box of 125JHP through it this afternoon & loved it.
I have to say shooting 5 rounds as fast as I could I didn't even notice anything bad about the double action trigger pull. So I probably won't even do anything to the trigger for now.
I'm thinking more in the lines of a new front sight. Something easier to see. And he'll no not a fiber optic!

I think you will really like it. I added another to my carry rotation this week. The first I had was a 3" but since I have a 3" K frame I chose the dao this go round. Mind came with hogue wooden grips but I like the stock grips. Like most here I plan to get some wooden inserts down the road. The first one I had I bead blasted but think I'm gonna hold off doing anything. Original owner installed spring kit and it nice and reliable. There is just something about a stainless gun in the south ga heat and humidity. I have shot a few 158 gr and find them stout. Will carry 38 for faster follow ups.

Congrats! You are gonna love it! I keep mine close by when at home watching TV, I tell myself its for "just incase" but I know its because I like looking at it! She's purdy! :D
