walther p 99 vs. HK USP 40/45

P99 QA and P990?

Ok this may be a dumb question but i am getting confused. By carring it in DA mode, you have the round chambered but the firing pin is depressed (the hammer is down), correct?

What are the differences in the QA and the P990 from the P99. I have a USf 40 and I really like the size and feel for the Walther for a carry gun. I came from Walthers home page and got more confused?

Any help?

I believe the P99QA is a DAO pistol with the trigger rated at 5 - 7.5 lbs (I am unsure, it is probably six).

The P990 uses a light pull spring which reduces the DA pull from 12# to 9 and single action pull from 5 to 3.5#.

I own a P99. My trigger was measured at 3.5#'s. My DA is 12#. I kind of like the heavy pull.
