Walther CCP Thoughts?

Update.....

Seriously leaning toward the Shield now, due to handling and personal recommendations from some police friends and our LGS gunsmith. They cannot say enough good things about them.

The Shield is a quality firearm. The nice thing is that when comparing things like a Shield and a PPS, it's hard to lose. Just be sure to get the one that wins most for you personally. In other words, be sure to handle both of them. Try out the different extensions. Shoot them both if you can. I think that goes for any of the other solid non-CCP recommendations in this thread. ;)
