Wally world guns

I guess I'm on the fence about this one. With the right combo of components, you can reload for a 223 for pretty darn cheap. Howver, I have a Savage 93 in 22mag that I love dearly. It's light, fast handling, deadly accurate, and has killed hundreds of prairie dogs and a few coyotes.

Wally World

Most of you probably know this already, but if you don't Walmart can order way more guns than they display. At least my local store can. I tell you this because I know people that did not know this. No opinion on what gun you should get. That's your call.

Here in VA it's illegal to varmint hunt with a centerfire from around October to April in my county. 22 mag does the job nicely.

I know the 10/22s are immensely popular, but I've had a couple of them and I think the Browning lever action in .22 LR is a better rifle. The versatility you get with a tube fed levergun is unmatched, and the accuracy is fine. The ability to shoot the almost silent CB caps makes a huge difference. The Browning is getting expensive, but I know many people really like the Henry lever action .22 LR or the Marlin, which are reasonably priced. A compact 3-9x scope is perfect for these rifles.

I have a Rifle that I bought at a Walmart about 15 Years ago that I dont shoot, Its a Plain Winchester Model 94 Angle Eject, there is nothing wrong with the rifle except, that it was never stamped. Where its supposed have Winchester Repeating arms, and calliber stamped on the barrel there is nothing. It does have the Olin Proof mark on top of the barrel. I figured an unstamped model 94 with the proof mark was kind of rare, so I just hold on to it.
