VPC Complains About "Militarization" of the Civilian Arms Market

For years i have avoided AR 15s as impractical for hunting. I finally broke down and purchased one as a defense weapon for our remote home in AZ when I learned that we had a heavy drug (meth) use and manufacturing problem in our area.

Now, after two years, it is my companion rifle as I have found it to be an outstanding tool for eliminating coyotes, feral dogs, and prairie dogs.

PS. It is fun to shoot.

I'm pretty convinced that most of the people against guns weren't allowed to have a red ryder growing up, and are jealous of all of us that were.

I also heard somewhere something along the lines of... "an anti gun fanatic is simply someone who's never had a gun pointed at them."
It was a bit more pointed and better said than what I can remember - but I thought it was a very true thing.

Always bugs me when I see LEO's mis-identify firearms. I was watching border wars a few weeks ago, then identified a bolt action rifle as an "Assault Rifle" and an AR type rifle as an AK-47.....I would expect this type of thing from the general public but not officers.

Maybe the police should hire more gunnuts like us. I worry more about the militarization of the police, not that I worry about it all that much.

No surprise here from the VPC. Black guns are "scary" looking to the general public and thus an easy place to try to start to gain traction on banning.

And everytime someone goes and shoots a bunch of other people, whether or not they use one (they seem to prefer Glocks), they get scarier. Not difficult to understand at all, really.
