Vote For Ann Coulter at US News Poll

Ann makes good points and gives great examples in her chapter on the sorry state of many public schools and how the kids suffer.

Impossible...Dubyah has been in office for a while now and His "no child left behind" plan is a smashing success.

the poll was gone but I did see this quote.

"I think—tide turning—see, as I remember, I was raised in the desert, but tides kind of, it's easy to see a tide turn—did I say those words?"

President Bush, asked if the tide was turning in Iraq

Ann Coulter is an amazing person, with brilliant insight and wisdom. What a great book!

Maybe we could make it required reading for all high school seniors. It would be nice for them to hear the truth at some point in their education.

Way to go Ann!

Being disingenuous is obviously a trait present on both sides of the aisle

Being disingenuous is obviously a trait present on both sides of the aisle as can be seen by the support Ms. Coulter has drawn from the right.

I have no problem with slamming the four widows from NJ for their stances on 9/11 and Iraq. I also disagree with these women on those issues. At the same time you can rationally disagree with someone while not sinking to the level of ignorant personal attacks. Ms. Coulter was WAY out of line when she made the statement about these women “enjoying their husbands’ deaths.” Anyone who does not think that statement was out of line should really question their own intellectual honesty and morality.

To just say that would be bad enough but she wrote it and then had it published in a book. You know that phrase had to have been caught by an editor and when questioned was retained for one major reason, IT SELLS BOOKS. That puts Ms. Coulter into the same category as Al Franken. He makes outlandish, stupid and insulting statements about people that are completely without merit but serve to sell his books and now she has done the same.

Ms. Coulter obviously does know something more about the right than I did. She knows that a large portion about it does not care about honesty and decency as long as we “Get the Liberals!” She knew her words would enflame the right and the left and that those on the right would flock to her defense and buy her book. I, naively it appeared, had hoped the right would have a little more intellectual honesty and be able to call her to the carpet for her statements. Unfortunately, as shown by the fawning Sean Hannity and sycophants on the right that is not the case, at least not to the degree I had hoped.

I am pretty much on the right, mostly though I am a Libertarian who votes to the right as that is the best I can get. I also live in close proximity to NYC, having many friends and family who commute into there every day. Because of where I am I know plenty about how these women are politically active but there is a big difference between opposing someone’s stance on the issues and accusing them in reveling in the death of their spouse. Perhaps some of the people around here need to back up and look at this issue from a truly unbiased perspective. I know it is hard to be on the right, being constantly bombarded by the left. Try being on the right in New York if you want to feel fed up! We all want to see some champion of the right really “put it to” the left and to many Ms. Coulter is that person. At the same time we need to say “Is this really the type of behavior we want from the person championing our cause?”
