US News and World Report has a national poll all week:

How would you react to conservative commentator Ann Coulter's new attack on 9/11 widows as self-obsessed and enjoying their husband's deaths?

Here's the results so far:

• Slap her as vicious, just like Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton did 30%

• Applaud her bold claim 57%

• Arrange a boycott of her new book Godless: The Church of Liberalism 13%

Too bad there's no "just ignore her" option in the poll. Definitely no applause from this quarter, though.

Her new book has hit #1 NYT list, and she's been on J leno.

Face it, Ann has exposed The church of Liberalism, and the moldy liberal media along with the left know it.

I loved reading my copy, now it's time to send it and John stossels book to Iraq and let those fine folks who do so much to protect our freedoms, enjoy Ann Coulters great new book :cool:

You can find hypocrisy in equal measure on both sides of the aisle.

Apparently those godless liberals tried to protect constitutional rights as provided for within the 4th Amendment, but were voted down by conservatives who felt that violations of those rights really didn't amount to much, despite whatever the US Constitution and subsequent judicial activity had to say about the matter.

You are correct----The only rights the liberal/leftys want to protect is the rights of known criminals, they could give a flying $#it about a law abiding citizens rights! #ell just look at the gun propaganda spouted by them, time people opened their eyes!:rolleyes:
 
I voted for her, choosing option #2. I also voted at Borders, by buying her book. I like Ann, and support her views. I fully agree that the so called Jersey Girls have made financial and political hay out of their husbands death. About time some one called them on it.

It strikes me as curious that the liberals are more upset on a personal attack on the "Jersey Girls" than being referred to as being Godless and having abortion as their #1 sacrement.:confused:

smince, that's a good point, and I really can't answer as to why there hasn't been more of an outcry with regard to those charges. I'd hazard to guess, though, that some fights just aren't worth picking after awhile.

Trying to demonstrate that many liberals actually adhere to a variety of faiths including Christianity to an audience of staunch conservatives likely to take Coulter's pronouncements at face value (not that all do) would be a bit like to trying to prove to a citizen of one of the Allied nations during the First World War that the Germans were not Belgian-baby eating Huns. The phrase 'exercise in futility' comes to mind.

Besides, those threads tend to end with a little padlock icon (and rightfully so), so at least for myself, I haven't felt the desire to combat the charge here. :-)
 
It's interesting how the poll question presupposes that she's actually attacking all 9/11 widows, instead of just the shamelessly self-promoting "Jersey Girls."

Noticeably missing from the press reports was any mention of what Coulter actually wrote. “The 9/11 Commission was a scam and a fraud, the sole purpose of which was to cover up the disasters of the Clinton administration and distract the nation’s leaders during wartime. Not only did the Jersey girls claim credit for this Clinton whitewash machine, they spent most of the hearings denouncing the Bush administration for not stopping the 9/11 attacks from the weak position handed it by the Clinton administration.”

The gist of what Kristen Breitweiser, Lorie Van Auken, Mindy Kleinberg, and Patty Casazza claimed was that an August 2001 Presidential Daily Briefing should have alerted Bush to order immediate action to prevent 9/11. Coulter notes in her book that “all the information about bin Laden in the August PDB comes from the nineties. Not one fact in the PDB is more recent than 1999.” This inconvenient fact was rarely, if ever, mentioned by the media.

Ann makes good points and gives great examples in her chapter on the sorry state of many public schools and how the kids suffer.

She's right!

This is alway the problem with liberals... they refuse to see the truth even with irrefutable evidence staring them in the face...
